Seven Hills Branch Raises Spirits and Funds for a Local Club

The Royal Society of St George Seven Hills Branch, based in Morley, West Yorkshire, recently enjoyed a wonderful evening of entertainment in support of a much-loved local organisation: Scatcherd Park Bowling Club.

Held at Morley Services Club, the event brought together more than 80 people for an evening filled with music, laughter and community spirit. Guests were entertained by a local DJ and enjoyed a lively programme of bingo, a quiz, Play Your Cards Right and a raffle and hot buffet, all of which helped create a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the night.

The evening was a great success, not only raising much-needed funds for Scatcherd Park Bowling Club, but also strengthening local friendships and showcasing the important role that community groups continue to play in Morley. The bowling club is a valued part of local life, offering people of all ages the chance to enjoy sport, companionship and fresh air in the heart of the community.

One of the most pleasing outcomes of the evening was that the Seven Hills Branch also welcomed interest from new members, demonstrating that events of this kind are a fantastic way to promote the Society’s values of fellowship, patriotism and service.

The Branch would like to thank everyone who attended, donated prizes, bought raffle tickets, took part in the games and helped make the evening such a success. It was a true example of local people supporting local people — and doing so with great enthusiasm and good humour.
