Society Signs the Armed Forces Covenant

Society Signs the Armed Forces Covenant

At yesterday’s Royal Society of St George Quarterly Council Meeting held at the Palace of Westminster (and on the eve of the 81st anniversary of D-Day), the Chairman Mr Nick Dutt and Cdr James Nisbet VR had pleasure in signing the Armed Forces covenant, confirming the Society’s continued commitment to the Armed Forces at all levels.

There are many members of the Society who are currently serving members of the Armed Forces or who are veterans and many of our branches have and continue to actively support local and area Cadet Forces.

The Society also organises and annual Cadet Parade at the Cenotaph at our wreath laying ceremony on the closest Saturday to St. George’s Day each year.

With special thanks Andrew Rosindell MP, Chairman of the Parliamentary Branch of the Society and his team, for helping to organise this event at the Palace of Westminster.
