National Council member, Dennis Stinchcombe MBE, well known for his work for the RSSG and other charities in Bristol and the West of England - particulalry the Broad Plain's Youth Project - has been honoured with a new award.
A non-contact boxing course for people with Parkinson’s disease was founded eight years ago, and has made steady progress in that time. During the month of October and after support from the Richard Powers, England, Boxing Support and Development Officer, Dennis and others in the campaign have not only launched a course for Boxing Coaches around the country, but have given those much-needed EB coaches a widely-publicised official fanfare at the Parkinson’s UK Annual Conference at Leeds Royal Armouries — with Dennis gaining a handsome commendation for all his input.
Well done to Dennis and to all concerned.
